Angels among us: Finding Humanity in a system that fails many.

This is so applicable in all areas. How many times have we been humble enough to say, “I can’t do this, can you help me?” How many professionals have admitted to being discriminatory, biased, judgemental, and unjust? Well, I am included in that list.
The real change happens when we admit that truth, when we acknowledge our flaws instead of hiding behind titles, qualifications, or experience. Growth always begins the moment we stop pretending we are always right and start recognising the impact of our actions on others.
Admitting our shortcomings is not a sign of weakness; it is the first step toward transformation. It opens the door to accountability, empathy, and genuine improvement. When we say, “I was wrong" or “I need help", we create space for learning, healing, and becoming better versions of ourselves.
Real change is never about perfection. It has to be about honesty, humility, and the courage to confront the parts of ourselves we would rather ignore. And once we do that, we not only change ourselves, we change the way we show up for others.
There is a world where a systematic structure does not dictate the outcome. There are still people in the forms of Angels, who care about human beings regardless of skin colour. I have experienced this, reminding me that compassion still exists, that fairness is possible, and that humanity has not been lost. Thank you for allowing me to experience that. (Maria)
